What is it about fairy tales that makes them such timeless stories?
For me, it’s a combination of a few things: the nostalgia of my childhood, the fact that it shows the darkest and lightest sides of humanity and that it’s realistic enough to not always give us the happy ending we want.
Many of these tales, rooted in old lore and traditions, have become the backbone of how many modern stories are formed and told today.
While there always will be a place for classics, we're now seeing a resurgence of fairy tales more than ever. Re-tellings and modern adaptations of these tales are a fun new way to enjoy the classics.
