The Law of Tall Girls by Joanne Macgregor (first published in 2017)

Peyton Lane is tall girl who needs to date a tall boy to win a bet to get the money she needs to pay for college. No mean feat for a 17-year-old whose outer composure is hanging on by a thread as it is.

Enter Jay Young, not only is he drop dead gorgeous and popular, he’s also built like an A class basketball player: even taller than Peyton herself, who towers over everyone.

He is the perfect candidate for winning her tall boy bet - just one problem, he already has a girlfriend. Of course he does.

But when Peyton and Jay find themselves taking part in the local drama club’s production of Romeo and Juliet, Jay and Peyton are forced to get to know each other better.

Peyton discovers that Jay is not like every other boy she’s met, and for the first time she lets someone from the outside in on her humiliating secret.

The Law of Tall Girls is local Johannesburg YA author, Joanne Macgregor’s latest novel (September 2017).

A fun, enjoyable read for all ages, especially for John Green fans, who like to delve in the minds of teens who try and navigate their way through the complexities of life and love in the 21st century.

A must read for the all the tall girls out there!
