Local female celebs rocked the Channel24 awards!

accreditation

Our sister site, Channel24, asked South Africa to choose their favourite online celebs, and the results have been announced.

Driven entirely by public voting, the local musicians, celebrities and public figures that have the most powerful and influential online presence received their accolades this week.

And the results were really great. Especially since many of the awards were won by powerful celebrity women who dominate the social media world. Like everyone’s favourite presenter, Jeannie D.

"It came as no surprise that Jeannie D won the overall award for best online presence as well as the trophy for sexiest female on social media.

She’s a real pro when it comes to social media and has an army of supporters behind her. She’s such a warm and inviting personality. Congrats once again to all our winners," says Herman Eloff, editor of Channel24.

But she’s not the only feisty female to win big. Boity Thulo, Lee-Ann Liebenberg, and Jo-Ann Strauss among many others also took home one of the gorgeous trophies.

"The digital world is a multimedia feast and public figures who are using it well deserve to be recognized. These are the very first local digital celebrity awards and we’re super pleased at the positive reaction it received," said Channel24 editor Herman Eloff.
