In the new issue of Redbook, Pink lets loose on topics she finds difficult to deal with. She feels that the media and her fans idea of who she is maybe slightly skewed especially since her life gets broadcasted due to her celeb status.
“...Well I was always considered butch,” says Pink during her interview. Feeling beautiful to her is when she fits on her leather pants and her husband grabs her ass. “Or when I’m sitting on my mat and my daughter runs to me with complete joy.”
That’s a pretty good description of beauty, if you ask me.
She also believes that strength, hard work and talent is what makes her stunning, apart from the conventional stick thin and flawless standards of beauty nowadays.
What’s more, the funky musician elaborated a little about her mysterious break up from her hot hubby Carey Hart for nearly a year in 2008.
Being a romantic (in her own unique way) she won back her hubbys hart – see what I did there? - by compiling a photo album of all the cards he had ever given her, telling the story of their love.
“I spent months on this album. On the last page, I pasted a photo of me from a really bad movie I made years ago with my neck slit and blood everywhere. Next to it I wrote, ‘This is me without you,’” she says.
“On the next page, there was a picture of a baby. And I wrote: ‘The rest is unwritten.’ The divorce papers that we never signed were behind that page.”
All together now: aw!
Perhaps this would be a great gift for Valentine’s Day, ladies?
The arrival of the couple’s daughter , Willow, is what finally bonded Pink and Carey together.
“...with my baby in my arms, it was like my whole life made sense, for the first time, ever.”
