Tell us about your work with Delush wines

Delush wines was looking for black tastemakers who are all doing phenomenal work. As a result, Tshepi Mabulana, Nonjabulo Zwane and I were the three that made the cut. What we have in common with the two tastemakers is that we’re all passionate about issues around femininity, juggling both work, school and play and all of us are in the radio industry.

From the Delush range which is your favorite wine?

It has to be the red wine because I represent music and the nightlife.

What’s on repeat in your playlist right now?

Being a DJ, it’s difficult to choose just one song, but what I can tell you is that I’m playing a lot of local hip-hop music. South African hip-hop is taking over right now so it’s what I’m listening to right now.

What are some of your imperfections you’ve learned to love over the years?

Growing up, my height and tone was rare for a girl. I couldn’t get any attention from boys because most of them were short and soft-spoken. As I became older and wiser I learnt that these were in fact not flaws but blessing. Who ever thought that deep tone I was mocked for could land me in radio?

What’s your number one fashion item?

Definitely shades, and a good matte lipstick. You could either be having a good or bad day and shades will always come to the rescue.
