Over the past several days, there have been rumours about tension between Duchesses Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle making the rounds on the internet.

The rumours were reportedly sparked and fueled by the announcement of Meghan and Prince Harry's plan to move from Kensington Palace, where they stayed alongside Prince William and Kate, to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

According to the DailyMail.co.uk, Meghan and her husband's decision to move is because she and Kate don't get along.

The article, written by Charlotte Wace and Charlotte Griffiths, reports that the brothers themselves are as close as close can be, but that "now, as married men with responsibilities, cracks appear to be showing in their relationship – and it could be their wives who are pulling them apart."

This rumour was debunked in an article for VanityFair.com, which explained that, as reported by a source, the duchesses themselves have no rivalry between each other, but that it's the brothers who disagree like any members of a family are expected to do. This is what the source that spoke to Vanity Fair said:

“Kate and Meghan are very different people and they don’t have a lot in common but they have made an effort to get along,” said the source. “Any issues are between the brothers.”

Regardless of the endless rumours being 'shot down', they are still making headlines when it's not necessary for them to.

In light of recent events on our local shores with the strife between HHP's widower, Lerato Sengadi and his family, there are general perceptions that in-laws are difficult to get along with, and for many this is an unbearable reality.

This is why that the fact that Kate and Meghan may sometimes have disagreements between each other based on their personalities and points of view should not come as a surprise to us.

They are, by law, family, and disagreeing is one of the many things that families do.

But they do not hate each other. If anything, they have shown us an amiable companionship that in-laws from other families see and envy.

As Kate has played ally and friend to Meghan during her transition from being a Hollywood actress to a duchess, we'll be looking out for more of their adorable moments together as our favourite duchess sisters.
