She turns into a celebrity in the blink of an eye.

Rhylee Passfield, from Queensland, Australia, takes just a few hours to swop from a natural blonde beauty to a whole array of familiar faces, using ordinary cosmetic products.

The 22-year-old has nearly 20 000 Instagram followers for her depictions of everyone from Angelina Jolie to Kylie Jenner and even Johnny Depp.

A self-taught artist who was home-schooled and only recently received formal training, Rhylee has documented her amazing make-up trials for the past three years.

"I like to pick celebrities who have unique features, such as Angelina Jolie with her big lips and structured jawline, and Lana Del Rey with her unique eyes, nose, and lips,” she says.

"Any features that really stand out to me is what I like!

"Celebrity transformations take me anything from one to four hours to complete.

"People say they want me to come to them in the make-up so it'd be like taking a photo with their favourite celebrity.”

Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman costume, made in 2017, was Rhylee’s first trial and took 10 days to put together. She made it out of duct tape, a yoga mat and things she had lying around her home.

Recently she created a Jack Sparrow outfit from some charity shop items which only cost her $20 (about R240), and took three weeks to make.

“I take inspiration from a lot of movies and TV characters/actors that I like.

“When I get inspired I can't think of anything else besides doing that project whether it be make-up or costume making,” she says.

Rhylee, who doesn’t purchase costumes online, says she prefers buying items at a thrift store because it “challenges her creativity”.

“At first I used to only do make-up but that is a two-three hour job while creating costumes and doing full transformations can keep me occupied for weeks.

“I don’t plan or write down how I’m going to execute my ideas.

“I just walk into a secondary store and see if there is anything I like which resembles the image in my mind.”
