Serena Williams
Serena has undeniable confidence, both on and off the tennis court. While she has shared her moments of struggle in interviews and her social media accounts, Serena’s sense of self worth is remarkable. We need some more of that.
In an interview with The View earlier this year Serena said, “As I got older I understood that this is me, I love who I am, I love how I look and my body, it’s creating all these opportunities for me and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Tracee Ellis Ross
Tracee puts so much positivity in to the world through her personality, fashion sense and online personas – and many love her for this. At the face of social pressures of marriage, age and family choices, Tracee has held her ground and is living life according to her own terms.
In this candid moment on her Instagram account, she shares what it means for her to become “more of herself”. Tracee has reached an admirable level of self-love and self-care.

Kelly Rowland
In her latest self-titled single, Kelly takes stock of what she calls her “blessing”. In the hook she sings “Kelly got deals/Kelly got class/ Kelly got a**” and cheers herself on singing “go Kelly go/go go Kelly go”. The track's artwork shows Kelly literally feeling herself with her arms wrapped around her back.
This affirmative song is a sure anthem from here onward.
