Can you believe that the Spice Girls' hit, Wannabe, will be 20 years old this November? Do you feel old yet?
Well, thanks to UN initiative, the Global Goals campaign, a new generation of girls will be exposed to the song that launched girl power in the ‘90s .
According to Viral Women, the video features South Africans Gigi Lamayne and Monoea, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, British girl group M.O., Canadian Taylor Hatala, Larsen Thompson from the USA , and Seyi Shay from Nigeria.
While the video pays homage to the original with scenes like 5 of the girls standing on stairs in the same formation as in the 1996 video, it also shows messages like “end violence against girls” and “end child marriage”.
And the video is totally Spice Girls endorsed. Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton both retweeted the video, while Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice shared this:
20 years on - Girl Power being used to empower a new generation. So proud of @TheGlobalGoals #WhatIReallyReallyWant https://t.co/mZx8QePJQE

No word from Mel B yet, but we're pretty sure she's behind the video too!
Watch it below. You’ll feel all kinds of nostalgia and also be inspired to tell the world what YOU really, really want.
