Ever wondered whether or not there’s anything to compatibility profiles based on astrology?

My colleague recently took a personality test to find out what kind of person she’d date. It naturally got us to thinking – just how well-matched are celebrities and their partners?

More importantly, with the royal wedding just around the corner, just how well-suited are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?

Anya Kotzuba, our resident astrologer decided to do a little profiling.

What Meghan’s star sign says about her:

Meghan is a Leo (4 August 1981) with a sparkle and a gift of being able to make the dullest speeches inspiring and colourful.

Her easy nature is made for the entertainment world. She is an initiator and her courage and charm help her to push through the obstacles and restrictions that may stand in her way.

Her ascendant is in the nurturing and sensitive sign of Cancer which can give her the ability to empathise and speak in a way that reaches the hearts of the people.

He plays by his own rules, but his earthy nature is dedicated, grounded and consistent which is why the world loves Prince Harry

This sensitive ascendant sign may be a challenge in the hard, cold world of rules and expectations as she may take things too personally and can be a little more self-critical than she lets on.

Her idealism to please and prove herself can lead her astray if she focuses too much on the role of a princess and not actually nurturing her own unique and authentic nature that thrives on creative free expression.

A breakdown of Harry’s zodiac:

Harry (15 September 1984) – a Virgo on the other hand has a very earthy chart that can anchor and contain her feisty passionate nature.
He is consistent to a point and then has a rogue moment every now and again that offsets the systematic rhythm.

Deep down he has a strong desire to play and passion and creativity help him to escape from his over analytical and critical mind that tends to can take over.

Order and chaos seem to be a theme in his life.

He has a playful dry sense of humor that can emerge from time to time.

He plays by his own rules, but his earthy nature is dedicated, grounded and consistent which is why the world loves Prince Harry. He is prepared to stick his head out of the conservative rule bound walls and push the boundaries to the next level.

She brings in a fiery passion and energy into the mix while Harry brings in the grounding containment helping her to feel safe and held.

So what does this mean for their love story?

This relationship is unconventional from many angles. It pushes the traditional rules and boundaries right out of the window.

There is a strong theme of change that flows through their combined chart as well as the auspicious wedding date that enhances the Uranian theme of this relationship as the planet Uranus changes sign just three days before the wedding date.

On the surface the sexy, passionate connection seems feverish as we see the excitement and the romance blossom in this first phase of their union.

But Harry and Meghan are very different personalities and their relationship will need a lot of conscious work to maintain and sustain the excitement for the long run.

There is no lack of enthusiasm or excitement, only a lack of harmony that creates the rollercoaster ups and downs of this feisty relationship. This is not a safe, conservative connection.

Prince Harry has chosen to fall in love very much in the way a passionate human being falls in love – finding your opposite and learning along the way.

It has heart and feeling and their differences will push them to have to work consciously and co operatively to make this relationship work.

She brings in a fiery passion and energy into the mix while Harry brings in the grounding containment helping her to feel safe and held. This relationship requires a lot of freedom and adventure to keep the sparkle alive.

What potential relationship pitfalls should they avoid?

Meghan needs to be careful of becoming too idealistic and falling in love with the idea of love and the role she will play.

She is an amazing actress and may fascinate the world with her role as the charming princess, but she must not forget about her own needs in the desire to impress the world as this will be the down fall as she will not be able to sustain this role unless she can shine her authentic creative light freely.

There will be ups and downs as they test and teach each other, but it is the critical public side that may crush the magic in the desire for the fairy tale to only be rosy.

This will be challenging in the order bound and critical world she is entering and she may not be that good at following regimental rules.

She can become a little outspoken or rebellious if her freedom is restricted too much.

Harry is in love with her creative magic and magnetism, but this can wear off as his over analytical side may start to “nit pick” at the tiny faults and become too critical or restrictive, which can wear away at Meghan`s confidence which tends to thrive on positive affirmation and attention.

This is a relationship based on feelings and spirit.

This energy has a fluctuating rhythm of passionate ups and downs which may be a challenge to endure long term in the critical and conservative eyes of the world watching their every move.

They have different values and different needs, and together they need to learn to respect and understand each other’s differences whilst finding a compromise to keep the relationship alive. Privacy will be important for both of them to keep the magic within this passionate union.

They need to find the balance between respecting each other`s freedom and embracing the intimacy. They need a common creative goal to work towards.

So in a nut shell Prince Harry has chosen to fall in love very much in the way a passionate human being falls in love – finding your opposite and learning along the way.

There will be ups and downs as they test and teach each other, but it is the critical public side that may crush the magic in the desire for the fairy tale to only be rosy.

This is not a clinical or conservative connection – it is based on passion and spirit.

Let’s hope the world can be kinder to this couple and give them the chance to play their unique song rather than be squashed into a conservative box that is too small for their big personalities.
