Lt. Baker confirms to Eric and Katie that there is still an old restraining order filed which Sheila violated. Sheila is upset with Eric for not believing her and insists that she is reformed. Liam fails to convince his father to let go of his urge to take over the Spectra building. Just as Quinn begins to calm down thinking that the attacks on her life are finally over, the mysterious sniper takes another shot at her.
Quinn is relieved when a surprise visitor from her past is standing in the living room. Brooke and Ridge remember the not-so-pleasant times in which Sheila wreaked havoc on their lives. A drunken Deacon's strange behaviour makes Quinn come to a startling realization. Katie has a difficult time suppressing her rage against Quinn.
Lt. Baker takes Deacon under arrest for shooting at Quinn. Eric is thankful that his wife is finally safe again. Bill and Brooke bask in marital bliss as word gets out that shots were fired at Quinn yet again. Brooke cannot help but notice that Ridge and Quinn appear to be closer than ever before. Later, Quinn makes a shocking confession to Ridge in light of the days' terrible ordeal.
Quinn and Ridge reflect on the recent events. Sheila apologizes for past actions whereas Eric states regret for accusing her of being Quinn's alleged shooter. Ridge is stunned that Eric invited the ruthless and manipulative Mrs. Carter into his home. Rick gives Maya the new adoption papers that Carter has drawn up.
A stunned Maya does not quite understand why Nicole is asking for more time before signing the adoption papers. Coco confides in Zende her concern that Nicole is emotionally distraught by her medical diagnosis. Rick makes it clear that Lizzy is his child - and that he will not let Nicole take her away from him.
