Stylist Law Roach revealed earlier this year, at the must-watch stylists roundtable, that actress Zendaya made it to the cover of Vogue without ever wearing Valentino, Gucci or Chanel on the red carpet.

Law explained that he built Zendaya's fashion status by using upcoming designers and smaller brands. 

In the video by BangBiz, Law also revealed that Zendaya struggled to be taken seriously by designers and as result he decided to play it safe and "dressed her in tried and tested ensembles to make her name on the well dressed list before gradually being able to take more risks."

According to an article by Magenta Magazine, Law stated in an interview with British Vogue that, "I started a campaign of dressing her only in things that other people had worn, because I knew she would end up in the weekly ‘Who Wore It Best’ features… I just knew that she had a place in fashion, so we did whatever it took to get her noticed."
