We went shopping for the new First Lady Tshepo Motsepe - and this is what we got!

There's a new President, a new First Lady, and new hope as South Africans prepare for tonight's State of The Nation address.

Yesterday we got to know a bit more about Tshepo Motsepe, and now it's time to talk style and what we predict she'll be wearing both tonight as she steps out for the first time as First Lady of a country in drastic need of Michelle Obama toned arms-levels of aspiration.

Like Michelle Obama (queen of everything, sorry Beyonce), Tshepo has a signature style that has stood her in good stead as she's been in the public eye forever. She loves a monochrome number, suits even better.

But how will her new First Ladyship influence said capsule wardrobe? Will she support local designers much like Michelle Obama supported the likes of U.S. greats like Tom Ford and Thakoon?

And will she be taking a few chances, like this custom rose gold Atelier Versace chainmail gown Mich wore to her final White House State Dinner?

I think she might also take some fashion advice from her sister in law, Precious Moloi-Motsepe, the uber stylish philanthropist who is the founder and CEO of African Fashion International (AFI).

I can so see AFI Fashion Week favourites like Leigh Schubert, Khosi Nkosi, Thula Sindi and Mille Collines dressing our First Lady.

Lets do a bit of shopping for her, shall we?

SONA

Khosi Nkosi

Or Thula Sindi

Why? Blue is so her hue, baby.

A daytime public appearance

Leigh Schubert all the way...

Why?

Because she eats monochrome, suits and slick lines for breakfast.

Weekend off-duty attire

No one does stylish casualwear like Mille Collines

Why?

Because even downtime/lounge-time means being prepared for the odd MP pop-in at her Fresnaye home.
