7 stylish friendship duos like Sarah Langa and Melody Molale's that make us double tap twice on Instagram

There are a number of reasons why various friendships blossom - work, living in close proximity to each other, childhood connections, common interests, social media, and sometimes a style connection can spark a solid friendship. 

No really, it's a real thing. Two Man Repeller writers, Haley and Harling, became good mates after one of them (Harling) was intrigued by the other's (Haley) style. 

"As I pulled up, I noticed a girl standing on the corner of Mott Street under an umbrella. I remember thinking to myself, Wow, she has such fun style. That girl turned out to be Haley," Harling recalls. 

Haley mirrors the same energy, saying "given how nervous I was to be there and how much I’d belaboured my outfit, her words were like a hug. In hindsight, this start to our friendship was very fitting."

I can think of a few of my own friendships that also started in a similar way.

A statement piece of clothing really is the ultimate icebreaker, especially when you've been style crushing on someone for a while.
