Red, white or metallic – as long as it’s got a pointed toe and a heel – that’s the style for boots this autumn/winter season. Shops are filling fast with boots in shiny satin, patent leather and velour or suede.
The red patent leather boot is a must-have, but pastel shades are also hot.
So, what do you wear them with?
Velvet
Though it has taken a bit of a back seat, velvet is still fashionable this season. Don’t go splashing out on tons of velvet items, but a dress in burgundy or plum, or a pretty skirt will stand you in good stead.
Bomber jackets
A puffy jacket in any colour, from shocking pink to plain black, is a must-have. It gives any outfit an edge and you can dress it up with heels or tone it down with sneakers. Then again, your standby denim jacket will always be your best friend.
Faux fur
Fluffy, fun faux fur is awesome this season. Whether embellishing a collar or hood, or a full-on fur jacket or gilet, this is a chic way to stay warm and look cool.
Berets
The beautiful beret is back. We’re all going to be looking boujee and French with this stylish hat. Wear it with a polo neck and pleated skirt.
Distressed jeans or biker pants and a bold leather jacket are a good option, but if you’re looking for a more toned down look, culottes and a printed T-shirt would work well. Cute statement socks are an in-thing this year, so glittery, frilly socks will look awesome peeking out of your boots
Ankle boots are very in, but thigh-high boots, à la the Kardashians, are a sexy and fashion-forward way to stay warm. Wear them over skin-tight jeans, stockings or leggings.
