#MondayMotivation: Brand worship is back

Gucci is THE brand of the moment. We know this because it’s literally impossible to pass by a double G logo slapped on a belt or white tee and not immediately associate it to Gucci, regardless of whether it’s the real mccoy or a big 'ol fake. 

So, the trend then for the branding to be prominent. It's all in the name.

There’s a ridiculous amount of money and perceived status attached to brand elements and luxury brands have not passed up the opportunity to milk this rising trend. Last year alone there was rarely a moment without something Gucci or Louis Vuitton related disrupting my hourly Insta scroll, but of late it’s all things Fendi, literally right down to little Stormi Webster’s stroller.

Sportswear brands like Kappa and Fila have never really shied away from loudly and proudly displaying their logos on apparel and accessories and they too along with regular household brands like Coca-Cola for example have jumped on the bandwagon.

It’s now longer just about a statement tee, it’s now more about what can go with it, like tights, bra straps, the whole tootie to display complete oneness with a single or multiple brands.
