New York Fashion Week always creates a global buzz and this year, we're seeing an important shift.

There's a growing push for diversity from previous years, and between Rihanna's pregnant models to all transgender casting at one show, it would be criminal if plus-size women weren't part of that conversation.

According to an article in Bustle.com, fashion blogger, Kellie Brown started the #FatAtFashionWeek hashtag to cast a spotlight on plus size women who love fashion and are a big part of what makes New York Fashion Week.

"Rather than waiting for streetstyle photographers and editors to highlight plus size women the same way they focus on straight size white women," Marlen Komar writes in the article, "bloggers are starting to take the push for inclusivity into their own hands and spotlighting themselves."

This is definitely the kind of content we subscribe to.
