Whenever I see anything velvet, I think: what an ancient trend to pull back from the past. But like a number of other timeless trends, the velvet obsession has stood the test of time and is now as popular as ever.
I'll admit that I wasn't feeling it at first, especially after I saw a pair of velvet pumps that reminded me of the slippers my grandmother used to use as a weapon of discipline. But ever since I saw Lana Condor's character in To All the Boys I've Loved Before sport a pink velvet top, I've been warming up to the idea of wearing it, and so here are my favourite picks so far.
