I recently bought a velvet top, just because when I tried it on it made me feel like Liberace. I felt fabulous. Which, is actually all that matters. If you feel good, you look good. Not necessarily the other way around.
If dressed in something that's pretty, but uncomfortable, it shows.

This winter, I'm keen to add a bit of glam to my look, i.e. doing that modern-day Gatsby thang.

The stores are full of faux fur wonders and Chanel-esque pearled items that will instantly add some extra to your basic winter uniform. Mine? Jeans, black grunge ankle boots and a black polo neck.
Here's how it's worn on the streets...
Faux fur
Whether you're going for a bright colour, one that's multi-coloured or just a plain black fluffy jacket, remember styling is key. I'd recommend either throwing it over your winter uniform (as mentioned above), or styling it with tracks and bulky white sneaks, this will instantly up any outfit's fab factor.
So if you're not keen to go all out with the faux fur, just add an element of fluff in the form of a fur stole or even handbag!
Pearls
