We all love a good clutch or tote and who doesn't love diamonds?
However, how much exactly are you willing to pay to have both?
A handbag is supposed to be functional but we all know how much value we place in the item we carry around with us a lot of the day.
It's a handy way to keep all the things we need for our day-to-day activities and it also makes a pretty great fashion accessory. Even men are being swayed to its appeal. We're seeing how lots of men are ready to wear the handbags seen on runways with absolute pride.
For the rich and famous though, handbags mean something totally different - a way to floss wealth.

At number four, we have the Hermès Chaine d'Ancre bag which is a whopping $1.4 million (R19 million). Just wow.

With a bronze medal, is another Hermès, the Birkin bag. This one costs $1.9 million (almost R26 million) and comes with extra extravagance. Some of the parts on the bag can be used as their own accessory.
The clasp can be used as a brooch while the strap can be used as a necklace. We would think that at that price it would have to be multi-functional.

At number 2 Hermès strikes again! This time with this $2 million (R27 million) Kelly Rose Gold investment piece.

Our golden child *insert drumroll here* is the Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond purse. This $3.4 million (R 46 million) purse is made of 4 517 diamonds (105 yellow diamonds, 56 pink diamonds and the rest colourless diamonds) and took 8 800 hours to craft.
It has held the Guinness Book of Records for the most expensive handbag in the world title since 2011.
