It’s quite obvious who runs the world, and graphic designer David Tshabalala – popularly known as Slaying Goliath – decided to honour 100 women by profiling them throughout the month of August.

His exhibition, Run the World, is a series of images that are being shown at Joziburg, Joburg’s freshest new downtown complex at One Eloff. The exhibition follows Slaying Goliath’s three-year-old Instabition in his playful and graphic style.

The talented graphic artist, who created #Trending’s Joe Mafela cover in March, says the Run the World exhibition stems from requests from his friends, who wanted him to illustrate them. “I want to profile young South African women who I consider to be the future thought leaders of South Africa. These are young women who may or may not be known in the public spotlight, yet in each of their creative discipline passions and careers, they illuminate a spirit of solidarity in power. Warrior women who will indeed inherit the earth.” – #Trending writer
