You can now deck your home out in Gucci

accreditation

Now your home can be as absolutely fabulous as your wardrobe - if you own Gucci that is.

The fashion brand recently announced on their Instagram channel that a line of Gucci Decor will be launched in September featuring furniture and decorative pieces designed by Alessandro Michele, creative director of Gucci.

If you love anything Gucci, or dramatic folding screens and colourful furniture, then this is definitely for you.

The brand gave their fans a sneak peek of the line with another Instagram post of an illustration of the Chiavari chair which is, according to the post, “a Ligurian design crafted from wood with a lacquered red finish. Created by #AlessandroMichele, the velvet upholstery is embroidered with a cat head, and clusters of flowers. The intricate motifs are embroidered and then hand-applied, a process that takes approximately 10 hours to complete.”

There was also a preview of porcelain candle holders and an incense burner which were produced by Richard Ginori.

According to W magazine, this foray into decor should not come as a surprise as Michele designed velvet and needlepoint pillows that served both as cushions for guests and as a take-home gift for the Cruise show 2017.

Fashionista reports that the range will also include metal trays, folding tables, and a range of wallpapers in fabrics like silk, vinyl and paper.
