According to a recent report done AfrAsia Bank, none of the countries in the top 10 were in Africa, but the safest countries to live in Africa were: Mauritius, Botswana, and Namibia.
The bank reviews the safety of countries for women on a yearly basis and finds that the safety of women is a good way to gauge the long term growth potential of a country with a correlation of 92% between historic wealth growth and woman safety levels. Which means that the stronger the levels of safety for women in a country, the better the wealth growth.

The 10 safest countries for women are:
1. Australia
2. Malta
3. Iceland
4. New Zealand
5. Canada
6. Poland
7. Monaco
8. Israel
9. USA
10. South Korea
The least safe countries for women were places including Somalia, Sudan, Iraq and Syria. Even some of the world’s big economies like Nigeria made this list. Notably, these countries have poor wealth growth and have performed poorly over the last few years which is linked to their woman safety levels.
