As of April, the multiple ways of grooming and personal care will be at the top of the agenda for the campaign. We caught up with Nasty C to hear more about the collaboration.
Why is this collaboration important to you?
I’ve always wanted to inspire the youth; to help them with their self confidence and encourage them to get over their fears and just go for it. Embarking on this journey with AXE is important, because we want to teach young men who look up to me, to see that I’m also human, and I’ll make mistakes along the journey. They can make mistakes too, but as long as we’re informed, it’ll be better to dust ourselves off and keep working on finding our magic and to Go for Gold.
We want aspiring young men to be well-equipped when they embark on their journeys through life and make sure they have what it takes. Through AXE, we can contribute to breed a new generation of men who aspire and inspire to be great. Making sure that they never feel like they’re not enough, when they go out there and Go for Gold.

You recently revealed overcoming your physical insecurities on social media. Tell us more about that.
I was at a point where I was ready and saw a great opportunity to teach the youth how to get over any insecurity they might have. I know how it feels to be held back by something you can’t really hide forever. I’m just hoping to help them find love within themselves, wholeheartedly, no matter how they may feel different to other kids. I know the constant comparisons with their peers is something they go through a lot.
What grooming (hair and skin) rules do you live by?
I don’t have any. I just take a shower and get fresh.
What do you love about the Axe anti-perspirant?
It is dope! You smell good and stay fresh throughout the day, which makes you feel great. You feel more confident and go for your goals.

How do you decide what scent/cologne
to use daily?
If it smells good and I feel like anyone that comes close to me will smell it and be like, “This guy smells great,” that’s what I put on. Also, there’s so much that goes into building your confidence and getting it to the level you want. Smelling good is, without a doubt, in the top three of those things.
What can we look expect from you this year?
I have an EP coming out, probably in the third quarter of the year. I also have a mixtape coming out soon, with Red Bull, entitled Look What You Want. It’s a very special project. I have two music videos I’m shooting very soon, for Strings And Bling and Ghetto, featuring Burna Boy. I have a documentary and two books on the way and will roll them out in due time. Right now, we have tons of footage and material, and we’re trying to piece it together in a way that it not only tells my story, but also has an educational aspect to it.
