Grab some tissue, you’re going to need it for this touching story.

Beck Carey from Virginia, US, and her fiancé, Matt, had planned an engagement shoot with photographer Bonnie Turner in September 2018 after discovering that her father, Tim, was terminally ill and wouldn’t live to see her wedding, Fox News reports.

“My dad [Tim] has been fighting prostate cancer and his body is now at the point where it can’t handle more treatment,” Beck wrote to Bonnie requesting they use the deposit for a family shoot instead.

“We found out yesterday that he starts hospice this week. Matt and I will worry about our photos later because this is more pressing.

“Of course this is a very difficult and dark time, but I know how you feel about love and capturing it so beautifully and meaningfully.”

The young woman wanted to do the family shoot at the photographer’s earliest convenience because she had no idea how long her dad had to live, Epoch Times reports.

“Dad is getting weaker by the day, and unfortunately, we have to do this as soon as possible.

“I wanted to see if you were able and willing to come and take photos at my parent’s house in Woodbridge on this really last-minute request.

“We’re throwing this plan together really fast because we don’t know how long we have before he won’t be able to,” she wrote to the photographer.

Bonnie agreed to the shoot and captured a series of beautiful snaps depicting the father and daughter duo smiling and dancing in the great outdoors.

Bonnie took to Facebook and posted the pictures, which have since gone viral.

Unfortunately, Tim passed away on 28 March – just before his daughter’s upcoming wedding ceremony, The Insider reports.

“My heart is heavy today as I’ve been informed of his passing. He fought so hard for a very long time,” Bonnie wrote on Facebook.

“Photographs and memories are EVERYTHING when they’re all you have left.”

The touching post has since been shared 34 000 times and received more than 87 000 reactions.

“Memories and photographs are most definitely everything!” one person commented.

“You can feel the emotions in all of these photos,” another person wrote.
