One of the golden rules of being a wedding guest is to avoid wearing white so you don’t upstage the bride – but this newlywed’s mom clearly didn’t get the memo.
Members of the That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming group on Facebook were horrified when they came across pictures of a bride’s mother wearing a tight white lace gown to her daughter’s nuptials, Mirror UK reports.

A mortified guest at the wedding shared the image, along with the caption: “I went to a family wedding over the weekend and the bride was gorgeous. It was such a pretty wedding. [But] her mom wore a white lace dress.”
Facebook users were quick to express their dismay, with one commenting: "Call me old-fashioned but I'd be p**sed off if anyone besides me wore white to my wedding."

"I don't know why mothers are like this,” another wrote.
"I have four kids, two of which are girls. I would NEVER do anything to ruin their day. This is just sad to me."
Others said the dress looked cheap and that it took one’s eyes away from the bride, Sun UK reports.
One outraged user added she would’ve demanded her mother change into a different dress if she’d worn it to her wedding.
