Daughter who was raped four times a day by her father gave birth to his son when she was 13

The following eight years would turn into a horrific experience that would scar her for the rest of her life, Daily Mail reports.

Her dad would repeatedly rape her, sometimes four times a day, which led to her falling pregnant and giving birth to his son.

She only discovered during sex education that what her father was doing to her was wrong, Mirror reports.

“I was shocked because I thought that’s what my dad does to me,” she revealed.

The abuse came to an end when Shannon was 13 years old and her teachers noticed she was heavily pregnant, which led her father’s arrest. He was finally given a 15-year jail sentence, Metro reported.

Despite giving the baby up for adoption, Shannon hopes to foster a relationship with him in the future.

Shane’s jail time has since been reduced to 10 years which means he’ll be up for parole in the next four-and-a-half years.

In fear that she’ll meet the man who tormented her throughout her childhood, Shannon hopes to move abroad.

She also hopes that her story will serve as a source of inspiration for many other women, The Sun reported.

“There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. Most people look at me and wouldn’t know I had been through that,” she said.
