It all began after the TV personality posted an image of herself dressed in a safari-inspired outfit – posed next to her newly-bought porche.
Instead of admiring the picture, many took to the comments section to troll the TV presenter for her bleached skin tone with many referring to her as ‘albino’ as well as Michael Jackson.
You are an albino now ????????

Khanyi is sporting a new skin color that hasn't been invented yet.

Khanyi was having none of this and was quick to put trolls in their place by reminding them of who she is.
“It would not be Khanyi Mbau if you didn’t get upset. . Crazy how y’all want to control who I date . What car I have . What color I am . What I call my gin I should co,e up with anti depressants next , I see a gap in the market! #Mother ,” she wrote.

And just as some trolls were judging her for “not being a good role model and a to young black girls” and for how “unAfrican she was”, Khanyi hit back with a fiery response.
“Remember that I am not a nanny, I am not here to raise your kids.. find a better role model for them. . Secondly I am not a therapist to help you cope in being black or African . Lastly I am a celebrity you have a choice 2love me or hate me ( although I prefer us being cool),” she snapped.

And just as we thought that was enough shushing the haters for a day, Khanyi reminded people how she introduced things such as dating older men and cosmetic surgery to the game.
“Now, type in Khanyi Mbau on google search.. go far back as 2005 and see how ur opinions mean nothing to me from when I dated ur fathers, and taught you Botox and that men must buy woman cars etc YALL BEEN TALKING. Things ur idols are doing a decade later,” she wrote before saying she will forever be controversial.

Some tweeps came to her defense while others applauded her for fearlessness.
The way I love @MbauReloaded. I wish more of our celebs could own themselves (the good, bad and everything in between) like she does ??

The actress is no stranger to being trolled over her skin, in September 2018 the Gauteng Weather service reportedly threw shade at her when announcing the heatwave by saying that people with fair skin, compromised immune systems and Khanyi Mbau need to stay out of the sun.
Speaking to Tshisalive about the matter, Khanyi was unphased and maintained how she does not care about what people think about her.
“No! I have no issue with the tweet or how people may feel about me. I am a public figure, I am bound to evoke emotion in many,” she said.
