Christopher Garth (38) and his girlfriend, Lauren Oiye (32), decided to go surfing in their hometown of Honolulu in Hawaii, Mirror News reports.

But Lauren had no idea the love of her life would be popping the big question.

The pair were surfing at the exact spot where they first met when Christopher pulled out a ring from his short’s pocket, got down on one knee on his surfboard and asked Lauren to marry him.

Before the excited woman could give him an answer, Christopher hit a slight bump and accidentally dropped the ring in the sea, Independent reports.

Luckily, the ring was a spare and the real one was waiting for the bride-to-be on the shore.

“Christopher Garth, I love you and am so grateful the stars aligned and our ancestors who came before us so beautifully orchestrated this for us!” she captioned her post.

“Here’s to a lifetime of laughter and keeping things simple and authentic! I said YES.”
