And the award for the most awkward meet-the-parents experience goes to this guy – who realised he’d slept with his girlfriend’s mother.
Sharing his story on Reddit, the 21-year-old wrote that there are only three decent clubs in his town so regularly bumping into the same people is unavoidable.
A few months ago he found himself at a rock bar where he met a woman. “We text a little bit but nothing came of it."
A few weeks later he bumped into the same woman again. This time they spoke more and later that night he went home with her, writes The Metro.
“I noticed she was a lot older (maybe around 40) . . . but I figured I’d learn a thing or two,” the young man said. “All I’ve learnt now is how to regret more efficiently.”
After their rendezvous he never saw the woman again. But the ghost of his past would soon come to haunt him.
He recently started seeing a 19-year-old girl he’d met on Tinder.
After several dates she invited him to her house.
“As I walk down the street . . . my heart sank when I watched this lovely girl turn to face me, say ‘this is me!’ while gesturing to the same door that I went through for a one-night stand.”
The young man adds he then noticed the resemblance between his new girlfriend and her mother.
“Quickly I compliment her house and ask her how long she’d lived there, grasping at some flimsy straws. ‘My whole life pretty much. Just my parents, [little] sister and the dog,’ she replies. Everyone was home. I knew this. I had to tell her.”
He adds his girlfriend knew he was telling the truth because he’d got her mom’s name right, and she was deeply shocked, adds Lad Bible.
“I knew she was level-headed from our first few dates so thankfully she actually understood and didn’t attack me for it.”
The couple have agreed to end things between them.
“I really did like her, which can be rare for me. She didn’t mention her parents’ marriage and I don’t want to ask.”
