Draped in a majestic over-the-top Gert-Johan Coetzee gown, Tumi Mokoena, portrayed by Larona Moagi looked angelic in last night’s episode of The River. The soon-to-be Mrs Dlamini was accompanied down the aisle by her on-screen mother, Moshidi Motshegwa, as she walked towards her hubby-to-be Zolani, played by Lawrence Maleka.
The five-day wedding extravaganza has been trending on social media the whole week and we’re almost certain tonight’s episode will be just as beautiful.
Tumi’s dress was designed by Gert-Johan Coetzee, after creative producer and writer of the wedding episodes Percy Vilakazi and Kgomotso Dipholo briefed him, reports SowetanLive.
“We wanted something majestic and detailed; something worthy of the money premium subscribers pay to watch us daily,” Vilakazi said.
“It was important that Tumi looked like a princess. She grew up very poor and has never even dared to dream about a wedding of that magnitude.”
In a previous article in TRUE LOVE, Larona said what she loves the most about her on-screen character is her warmth, ability to love and drive.
“We’re both head-strong. Once we decide on something, we’ll do it and see it through, no matter. I love the fire and drive she has, which is how I am too,” she said.
Here’s a glimpse of what the magical wedding looked like:
