A primary school teacher made headlines after she was snapped teaching human anatomy in a onesie that looked like a skinned human body.

Veronica Duque from Valladolid in Spain wore the outfit to teach her students about human anatomy.

The onesie allowed the youngsters to see where the lungs, liver, intestines, muscles and other organs are positioned in the body.

Her husband, Michael, posted a snap of the outfit on Twitter where it received more than 33 500 likes.

“Proud of this volcano of ideas I’m lucky to have as a wife. Today she explained the human body to her students in an original way. And the kids were shocked. Great Veronica!” the caption read.

Veronica told local newspaper El Espanol that she hadn’t expected the reaction after buying the outfit on AliExpress.com.

It isn’t the first time she’s worn a costume in her lessons, according to local media. The 43-year-old previously dressed up as a pirate, a Roman and a Mediaeval farmer and says teaching in the costumes helps keep her students motivated.

“Congratulations, thanks to those teachers who still have a will for teaching, to use imagination in their wonderful profession, valuing the learning process of the students,” one Twitter user commented.

“She was my tutor in primary school and I remember her with affection and lots of love,” another added.

“One of the best teachers I’ve ever had and she left a mark on me. I remember some of her lessons better than most of my university classes.”
