An image of a rather unique wedding ensemble has set tongues wagging, generating thousands of comments and shares on social media.
And while every bride wants her wedding gown to be something special, many believe that this Pronovias sexy number has taken it too far.
A picture of the sheer, lacy outfit was shared by Lisa’s Wedding World’s Facebook page on Monday and has garnered over 10 000 comments.
According to the blog, the design has 200 crystals embroidered into the lace and took about 10 days to make.
“New year, new bridal trend?! Gosh I hope not!” the blogger captioned the widely shared post. “Would you wear this?”
If the comments are anything to go by, very few would.
Many women were shocked by the revealing, body-hugging number, while others seemed to find it hilarious.
“I bet it costs a fortune, looks awful,” one commenter wrote.
Another weighed in: “Because dads everywhere would be thrilled to walk their daughter down the aisle in this.”
“Does it come in any other colours? Ha Ha Ha Ha,” one woman joked.
And one man certainly didn’t hold back in giving his two cents.
“This is not a classy, elegant dress that any man would [want] his bride in. Disgusting,” he wrote.
“If my partner or daughter wore that I'd go straight to THE GAP and I'd jump.
