The 35-year-old star who is the host of popular TV programme, The Daily Show, made the list with $28 million (R431 million) earned between 1 June 2018 and 1 June 2019. According to Forbes, most of his earnings came from his sold-out stand-up comedy shows. Trevor is making money for making us laugh.
Over the last year, he has apparently made more than 70 stops across the world to perform and had his second Netflix special, Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia. The comedian made a lot of money from this, and his 2016 autobiographical comedy book, Born a Crime, is still ranked No. 1 on the New York Times’ bestseller list for non-fiction books.

Kevin Hart was the highest paid comedian on the list, earning $59 million (R909-million), followed by Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan. Amy Schumer is the only woman to make it on to the list.
