Women are often encouraged to be “ride or dies” for their partners, even when the said partner cheats on them, they are looked down upon if they choose to leave the relationship.

But this woman insists that that is exactly what women should do when they find out their partner is being unfaithful – leave them.

Twitter user, @yepez_flores posted a video sent to him by his sister after he updated her about his love life:

“I told my sis about the guy I was talking to and this is what she sent me...please pay attention for anyone who needs to hear this as well,” he captioned his post.

In the video, the woman is sitting in her car and calmly talking about the things she will not allow in her life when it comes to relationships, especially because society has made these things a norm and use them to shame women for leaving bad relationships that no longer serve them.

“The type of woman I am, when I’m in a relationship I’m all in from day one. Because when it’s time to leave, I’m not looking back, I’ve given it my all and there’s nothing more for me to do here,” she says.

“The way I’m set up, if you betray my trust, you’ve made your decision, and you’ve made mine for me. Society would like us to believe that love is pain, and that when you’re in a long-term relationship, there are things that’ll happen and we as women must be tolerant. Now forgiveness and tolerance are not the same thing,” she continued.

The woman in the video went on to mention how important it is to love yourself in a relationship, so that you walk away from people who no longer love and respect you.

She used men as an illustration, “If you ask a man what they would do if they found out their woman was cheating on them, they tell you they’d leave. And they do leave, only a few stay. So, when someone tries to shame me by asking ‘so if you find out your man is stepping out on you, you just leave?’ I say yes, because even though I love you, I love me more,” she said.

To conclude, she insisted that she and most women don’t want perfect men, they just want partners who will love and respect them. And that loving someone and cheating on them is not being in love with them, there’s a difference.
