One woman has taken the phrase “lend a hand” to the next level.

Jenna Nguyen, of Melbourne, Australia, posted snaps of her cousin Diana Le’s engagement ring on Twitter on 3 November, with the snaps going viral on social media, Today writes.

In one of the images, the happy couple are seen kissing, with the bride-to-be seemingly having perfectly manicured nails, Fox News reports.

But in the next post, Jenna, who goes by the Twitter name @goodgaljenjen, displays what the picture looks like from a wider angle, showing her kneeling on the ground and stretching her arm towards the couple’s faces, while wearing the ring, creating the optical illusion it’s Diana’s hand in the pic.

“My cousin’s boyfriend proposed to her but she didn’t have her nails done,” Jenna wrote in the tweet that’s now been shared more than 200 000 times.

She added that her cousin is a nurse so never has her nails done and it would’ve raised suspicion if her now-fiancé, José – who planned the engagement as a surprise – had asked her to get a manicure.

Jenna then went on to give background context as to how the proposal came about.

“José convinced Diana that the celebration was for his parent’s wedding anniversary, before getting on his knees and revealing that it was all really for her! My girl organised HER OWN proposal party. Anyway, there were photographers and that’s how this shot was captured.”

Twitter users applauded her for her quick thinking during Diana’s special moment, Independent writes.

“You are a real cousin for that one. You are what Kendrick and Rihanna sang about in ‘Loyalty’,” one user commented.

“Not all heroes wear capes,” added another.
