Choose a nice picture
We advise that you take a couple of pictures and chose one that you see fit. Remember the idea is for your potential suitors to see you for who you are so ensure that the pictures are somewhat how you look like in reality. And profiles with pics get many more more hits compared to those without.
Be you
In the real world, the ‘perfect’ human doesn’t exist. So don’t be afraid to show your not so flattering side. It could be that scar you have on your forehead or your crooked smile. Potentials want to see your imperfections, it creates an opportunity for them to truly connect and build chemistry even before meeting you.
Be mindful of your username
Nobody is going to take you serious if you go by the name prettyface or single101 and quite frankly, it’s tacky and can be a turn off. Before potentials can even read your bio, the first thing they look at is your name, so keep it clean.
A catchy headline/ bio
You want to grab their attention with only a few words, so get straight to the point. Avoid lines such as ‘looking for a future husband,’ it’ll make you seem desperate. As much as you’re hoping a solid relationship might come out of this, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to have fun in the process.
Honesty is key
As much as you shouldn’t use someone else’s picture as your own, you shouldn’t lie about anything else. Your age, race, good and bad habits; whether you have children or not, a smoker or non smoker. These are usually things that you aren’t able to change or compromise on, so it’s only right that your potential dates know what they’re getting themselves into.
