Caivil Hair made sure that there was not a single hair out of place at the 12th Annual South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs12) in Sun City that took place from the 22nd to the 24th of March 2018.

During the glamorous annual awards ceremony, 78 Golden Horns were handed out across various categories, covering everything from TV shows, films to student films.

SAFTAs12 are managed under the custodianship of the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture, – and it was this body that concluded an agreement with Caivil at the beginning of this year. This made Caivil the hair and beauty sponsor of three categories in the awards ceremony for Best Achievement in Wardrobe, Make-up and Hair in a TV Soap / Telenovela, Best Achievement in Make-up and Hairstyling in a TV Comedy and Best Achievement in Make-up and Hairstyling in the TV Drama category.

In addition to these sponsorships, Caivil setup a celebrity hair pamper room called the CAIVIL BEAUTY PARLOUR for all VIP celebrities and members of the filming fraternity who needed touch ups for the live show which took place on the 24thof March, just before hitting the red carpet for the awards ceremony.

Styling was done by the Caivil Glam Squad who had their combs, blow dryers and straight irons ready between 10am and 6pm.

The Caivil Glam Squad included 10 of the country’s top stylists from KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng who were specially selected in March 2018 after a gruelling competition. They were judged on styling, professionalism, speed of work, how they interacted with their models as well as what inspired their specific styles.

The winners, who each took home a fantastic styling kit worth over R10 000, certainly put themselves on the VIP fashion map at the SAFTAs12.
