We have music festivals such as AFROPUNK, Coachella and Rocking the Daisies for the music and entertainment enthusiasts. Sports fanatics have World Cup games. The world of fashion has seasonal fashion weeks in every fashion capital.

But what about the beauty community?

Yes, a Dis-Chem beauty haul is thrilling every now and then, but it's about time makeup aficionados got a festival on the same scale as music festivals.

And that's exactly where the inaugural Beauty Revolution comes in - a two-day festival that its founders have likened to a makeup Comicon.

This festival is set to take the South African beauty scene by storm with a two-day beauty festival taking place on 6 and 7 April 2019 at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. The festival will showcase the best make-up influencers and “beautubers” doing masterclasses, powerhouse panelists taking the stage to speak out on topics close to their hearts and an opportunity to shop the hottest beauty brands all under one roof!

First, meet the brains behind Beauty Revolution:

The dynamic co-founders are heavyweights in the beauty and purpose industry, Yasmin Kathoria hails from Unilever where she worked as Global Brand Director across beauty brands and Kanchana Moodliar is the South African partner at Innate Motion, the world’s leading purpose strategy agency.
