Valentine’s Day is all about reliving the memories of love, some great and some not so! Whether good or bad, the experiences are meant to prepare one for future encounters. For Nanziwe Mzuzu, the memories are not joyous at all as they bring back the painful emotional toll her heart took during her youthful days, with her Romeo and Juliet love-like affair with an imprisoned gangster. The tale she documented on a book titled A Tide Of Conspiracy Theories.
The love story takes a reader on an emotional journey. First, there is a battle for love that was forbidden by everyone around the couple. Then there was a test of loyalty and there was also a four year long fight for justice. Her gangster lover was wrongfully convicted for a crime that was later proven he never committed.
‘’This is a love story but nothing about it is romantic; the book encompasses my journey to self-discovery,’’ Nanziwe Mzuzu shares.
Nanziwe remembers writing this book as a letter to her future kids, telling them a story of hope and genuine love. After the break-up, Nanziwe remembers being miserable and shattered.
‘’The power of this story is that post our break-up; I was so miserable that the only thing I could do was to love myself. Writing the last chapter of the book was my healing process because I had released any forms of negativity,’’ she recalls.
The book was written a while back but set to be released on April.
