As much as we may feel as though our celeb couples are perfect, we have to admit that they are also human and have preferences. From the beginning of the year we have been hearing about celebrity break up stories - here are eight couples who've decided to go their separate ways.

Monica and Shannon Brown
"The Boy Is Mine" singer and the former Los Angeles Laker share a 5-year-old daughter. Monica, 38, originally filed for divorce from Brown, 33, in March. Monica secretly married Brown in a private L.A. wedding ceremony in November 2010, and the pair kept their matrimony under wraps for months before confirming the news in January 2011. Talking to Essence, Monica said "Anything I can do to really assist in making sure [parenting] continues to be everything that it’s always been, that’s what I’m going to do.”
Fergie and Josh Duhamel
The American singer, songwriter, Fergie and actor and former fashion model Josh Duhamel have been married for 8 years and have a four-year-old son Axl. Fergie and Josh announced their split in May 2017 and two years later they finalised their divorce on 25 November. According to ENews the couple took their time figuring things out and making sure this was the right decision however after some time, it became clear that they had made the right decision and that it was time to move on.
Jessie J and Channing Tatum
US Weekly reported back in October that Bang Bang” singer Jessie J and Magic Mike Star have been quietly dating for months. Jessie J was Tatum's first relationship after his divorce to ex-wife with Jenna Dewan. According to US Weekly the pair were very supportive of each other throughout their relationship. The actor attended many of Jessie’s concerts, while she cheered him on at the opening night of London’s Magic Mike show in November 2018. The pair separated a week ago after dating for a year.
Solange Knowles and Alan Ferguson
Solange and Alan got married in November in 2014 in New Orleans. Five years later the pair has split and Solange has since taken to social media to announce the separation. "11 years ago I met a phenomenal man who changed every existence of my life. Early this year we separated and parted ways, (and tho it ain't nan no body business [crying emoji]). I find it necessary to protect the sacredness of my personal truth and to live in it fully just as I have before and will continue to do."

Kenya Moore and Marc Dally
The pair tied the knot in June 2017, a year later, they welcomed their daughter Brooklyn. On September 19 this year, the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star opened up to Us Weekly about their split after two years of marriage. "It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband, Marc Daly, “Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.”

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott
Beauty billionaire and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kylie confirmed her split from Travis on October 1 this year. The pair were first spotted at Coachella in April 2017 and their last public appearance as a couple was at the premiere of Scott’s Netflix documentary, Look Mom, I Can Fly, just two month earlier.
The pair split after two years of dating, leaving them to co-parent their daughter Stormi.
Upon finding out the news, twitter users were disbelief.
Nikki and Jamie Perkins
When YouTube star couple Nikki and Jamie Perkins announced their separation, the pair’s fans expressed much sadness upon hearing the news. The married couple has two children have a joint YouTube channel called Jamie and Nikki, which has amassed 1.8 million subscribers.

Adele and Simon Konecki
When news broke that the much-adored singer and songwriter Adele had split with her husband Simon Konecki. The singer, known for her deeply personal and relatable lyrics, confirmed her marriage to Simon at the 2017 Grammys by referring to him as her husband. Only two years later, she sent a statement to the Associated Press in April 2019 that the two have separated.
Zodwa Wabantu and Ntobeko Linda
Zodwa Wabantu repeatedly takes over the headlines in South Africa, whether it’s for headlining major party events as a dancer, her reality show or the latest aesthetic procedures she undertakes. Over the past few months Zodwa has dominated the news headlines for her split from estranged former fiancé Ntobeko Linda. Between Zodwa paying lobola and buying herself an engagement ring, social media users also discussed this breakup at length.

Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter
After years of reports about the struggles in Wendy Williams’ marriage with her husband Kevin Hunter, the talk show host announced that she filed for divorce.
While being on the trending lists of social media, Wendy received some support and congratulations from her fans.
