The former Olympian shared intimate details about her life and transition and brought a lot of awareness to the struggle of the transgender community.

These 35 brave women have one thing in common – they have all accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault. The cover and the various interviews in the magazine were a demonstration of strength and courage, and also a call-to-action for any other women who haven’t yet found the strength to talk about their encounters.

Adele – November Rolling Stone
Adele came back with a bang after a 4-year hiatus and bowled us over. She’s usually pretty well put together and those brows, hair, and nails are always on point, but, for this one, photographer Theo Wenner decided to show us the Adele underneath the makeup and amazing wardrobe.

Serena Williams – December Sports Illustrated
Now, Queen Serena has had a pretty great year, both as a tennis player and in her personal life. So when this cover hit the interwebs, we were obviously blown away by how amazing she looked and the pretty great achievement of being announced Sport Illustrated’s Sportsperson of The Year.

Kylie Jenner – December Interview magazine
The reality star got some serious flack for this cover and shoot. One of the covers shows Jenner, who is able-bodied, in a corset, sitting in a gold wheelchair. It brought about discussions on ableism, and the way disabled people are portrayed in the media.
