9 celebrity moments from 2017 that were so embarrassing

accreditation

2017 has been the worst year since 2016. Seriously, it's not been fun.

Considering the political climate both locally and overseas, all our faves being called out as sexual predators and the year's general shittiness, we are ready for a fresh start.

So now we take a look back at those local and international celebrity moments that made us so uncomfortable we had to watch through our fingers.

Emtee and his 'accidental' overshare video

The rapper's junk was exposed during an Instagram live video when he was answering fans questions.

He had to use the bathroom and somehow showed his penis in the video.

Screenshots from the video then began to trend on Twitter and it became a huge thing with many a meme being tweeted. The rapper apologised afterwards saying it was a "big mistake".

Jerry Seinfeld did NOT want to hug Kesha

Kesha saw the comedian at an event and tried to hug him and all he did was back away and repeatedly say "No, thanks". Cringe!

Nicole Richie got her glasses slapped off her face

*wipes tears from eyes* Nicole was being interviewed by Talk Stoop's Cat Greenleaf when they tried to high five and... BWAHAHAHAHA

Bonang's book drama

So the social media star and presenter released a book called From A to B only to have her fans and foes alike tear it down saying it was riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. The book was then recalled after much controversy and a new edition was released.

Rita Ora failed at being Rita Ora

The singer went on the Voice of Germany and tried to play a prank on the judges by pretending she was a contestant singing 'Your Song'. Aaaand... they didn't know who she was. Such a fail.

Nicole Kidman was not here for being shamed

The actress was on the Ellen DeGeneres show and during the entire cooking segment, celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis was completely rude to her. Nicole got her own back with rather intense side eye, dropping her fair share of comments in retaliation.

AKA was literally dropped by his fans

The rapper was performing Caiphus Song at a show when he decided to crowd surf but the crowd failed to hold him up and the rapper fell to the ground; he was then mobbed by fans.

Luckily, security got him out and he went back on stage and continued to perform.

Justin Bieber had to dodge that water bottle

The singer said live on stage to his fans that he couldn't sing the hit Despacito because he didn't know the lyrics.

He actually said this. Repeatedly. One fan got so annoyed they threw a bottle at him.

Zodwa Wabantu's weird product endorsement

Zodwa, the socialite and dancer, posted a video to Instagram where she thanks her fans for their support in what seemed like a very heartfelt message.

But a weird thing happens at the end when she randomly says the word "Vaseline". It sparked the #ZodwaWabantuChallenge where people tried to imitate the video with hilarious results.

I love you my people & thank you for not changing me???????????????????
