Eve disses Britney Spears

So, late last year, Britney released a track called Scream and Shout with Will.i.am, and debuted the video on X-factor.

The track is pretty cool. And the remix doesn’t sound half bad, but Eve is now throwing some shade Britney’s way by suggesting that the X-Factor USA judge didn’t actually sing on  her new song.

Gasp!

When asked about Britters’ Britinsh accent on the single during a recent interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Eve replies "I heard that might not be Britney."

"Really?" asks Andy. "Why? It's someone else in the studio?"

"That's what I heard," says Eve. "But, you know, I don't know. It could be Britney. But I heard it wasn't. I don't know."

I think this just might be Eve’s way of getting publicity for her upcoming album – the first one in 11 years, i might add.

Britney’s publicist, Jeff Raymond, certainly wasn’t happy. He says to TMZ: "It's absolute BS. Britney sang the song. Will.i.am wanted her for this song and she sang on it."

A source from the studio also comments to TMZ: "Was Eve even in Studio? Didn't know. She's clearly jealous. I didn't even know she still sings." Ouch.

When I first heard this track, I thought “What is Britney doing with her voice?”, so I fully understand why Eve would doubt it, but, if she has actually listened to the song she would know that there are parts of it where you can hear the Britney we all know and are kind of okay with love.

Check out the video for Scream and Shout, and tell us...
