This isn’t the first time we’ve spoken about the hater brigade. And it isn’t the first time that their comments have actually made us feel ill.
The group are planning to picket the funeral of the late Glee star Cory Monteith because the show features gay characters.
Reading through these tweets actually made me feel sick to my stomach. The amount of hate speech and slander is ridiculous.
After the news of Cory’s death was announced, the Church’s account tweeted “@GLEEonFOX’s Cory Monteith found dead in Vancouver hotel room — STRUCK DOWN BY GOD! #FagEnabler #WBC2picket” and similar messages to several people including fans, cast members of the show, and Lea Michele.
“PRAISE GOD for killing Cory Monteith — a wicked fag-enabler before the LORD! Westboro Baptist Church to picket funeral,” they declared on their twitter page.
And as if that wasn’t enough, they went one step further and posted a ‘eulogy’ of sorts saying that Cory was dead because he failed at his “job” which was “To obey his Creator”.
Should people start ignoring the Westboro Baptist Church?
