Award-winning sisters Beyoncé and Solange reportedly tested negative for the mutated human tumour suppressor gene, which can put women at higher risk of developing ovarian and breast cancer.

This comes after their father Matthew Knowles was diagnosed with breast cancer. The former Destiny's Child manager told TMZ Live that his daughters got tested after he found out he is a carrier of the gene.

Matthew decided to share he had been diagnosed with breast cancer to mark the start of Breast Cancer Awareness month, which runs throughout October. He has since revealed that he is cancer free after having "three lymph nodes" removed.
