Former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Peters-Nel tied the knot this past weekend with former NFL quarter back Tim Tebow, in La Paris Estate in Cape Town, South Africa in a beautiful sunset ceremony.
The 2017 crown holder wore two spectacular dresses that represented her royal inspiration vision. Draped in David’s Bridal, she walked down the aisle in an off-the-shoulder fit-and-flare style white gown.

Talking to PEOPLE magazine she says, “I was all over Pinterest. I wanted to find something sleek and elegant and timeless.”
Demi-Leigh says she went on Pintrest and looked at approximately 50 dresses before choosing the style she has always wanted as young girl. The gorgeous bride paired the simple dress with a cathedral-length tulle veil with a sequined lace border.
Adding to the royal look, she wore pearl and diamond accessories. “I’m focusing on hair accessories and beautiful pearl and diamond earrings. I had so much fun working with Marion Rehwinkel Jewelry designing some of my favorite pieces,” she says.
For the wedding ceremony the bridesmaids matched the bride in their long white asymmetrical dresses, also designed by David’s bridal.

Wearing a Chantilly lace and crystal-embellished column with a plunging V-neckline, complemented by a walking-length two-tier veil. She shared that this dress is more modern, sensual and fun. "It’s something I could enjoy myself in," she says.

With the amount of fashion knowledge and exposure Demi has, we were not surprised at all at her choices for her big day.
“Being in the fashion industry and being a girl who has dreamed about this day since I was three, I had this planned out a long time ago,” she concludes. The wedding ceremony symbolised their union through a combination of South African and American culture elements with the colour palate being white, gold, green and black.
