There were lots of winners of those gold winged statuettes this year, but unfortunately not everyone could walk away with one. No one went home empty-handed though.
This year’s nominees and presenters, according to Forbes, got access to what was called the Giving Suite. The suite was created by Backstage Creations in partnership with the Television Academy.
According to Elle Decor presenters and nominees got to give and receive. They could autograph certain items to auction off to raise funds for the Television Academy Foundation, an organisation that aims to engage and educate the next generation of television leaders.
Here they also received the gift bag, containing:
1. A three-night stay at an all-inclusive wellness retreat for two at Canyon Ranch
There are two locations to choose from in Tucson, Arizona, or Lenox, Massachusetts. Apparently the packages at the resort can range anywhere from $5 400 (R71 904) to $21 000 (R279 627).

3. Benjamin Steakhouse Prime gift certificate

All in all, the gift bag is rumoured to be worth nearly $50 000 (R 665 585) and recipients are required to report the fair market value of the merch on their tax returns.
