J.Lo’s giant 15-carat diamond engagement ring breaks the net

With an emerald-cut ring that huge surely J.Lo uses it as a mirror every now and then to check out her reflection because oh boy has Jenny from the block stunned us with the massive rock.

According to Andrew Fox, president of SuperJewler.com, J.Lo’s 15-carat diamond ring is estimated to be worth between $1 to $5 million dollars (about R14-71 mil), reported elle.com.

Ring and jewelry expert Lauren McCawley believes that it is the rings historical background that attributes to its value.

“Emerald cut diamonds became popular back in the 1920s, at a time when clean lines and art deco styles were in fashion. However, we’ve seen a returned interest in this shape, with celebrities such as Amal Clooney and Beyoncé sporting the stone,” explained McCawley to E!News.

It seems like the 49-year-old Ain’t your Mama hitmaker is no stranger to big rocks especially with this being her fifth engagement – when her last hubby, Marc Anthony, proposed he gave her a Harry Winston 8.5-carat blue diamond ring which was estimated at about $4m (R57 mil)
