Actress and TV presenter Nomsa Buthelezi says walking away from a toxic friendship has helped her spiritually.

The Generations: The Legacy actress says that friendship was not working in her favour at all as a friend – who she does not name – always put her down. She claims her friend wanted a fan instead of a friend.

“I used to have a friend who always put me down, wanted me to worship her [sic],” she says.

She says one day she woke up and made the decision to end that relationship by deleting and blocking the unnamed friend.

“One day I woke up and deleted her number and blocked it. My spirit is free now. I can smile,” she explains.

The point the Our Perfect Wedding presenter was driving home was that people need not be mean because it doesn’t cost a penny to be kind.

“Being kind is free,” she concludes.
